Can Leicester sneak a win?
It has been
emotional few weeks for Leicester City, after the sudden death of their owner
Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha. The foxes were held for a draw against a resilient
Burnley side, despite dominating most of the time throughout the game, a
victory here would start a nice little unbeaten streak. The concern here for
Claude Puel's side is that they haven't scored in their last two premier league
games, key players injury does not help them either Jamie Vardy and Harry
Maguire won't be available due to injuries, but that could be due to lack of
training sessions, going through all the emotions they would want a win and
concentrate on football that's what their former owner would have wanted.
Coming to back to
the game, Leicester City has the moss crosses this season. They're normally
trying to do one thing: find a team mate's head. But they have been
unsuccessful in their attempt. Jamie Vardy's injury means the foxes won't have
a target men in Islam Slimani who has been loaned out to Fenerbahce. Slimani
who has a reputation of scoring headed goals is not in Puel's plans. Looking
around the squad, Vicente Iborra is the best bet for the makeshift big man up
top. The Spaniard occupied an advanced role in his final season at Sevilla,
scoring eight times, while he has nodded in three goals since his arrival at
City.
Glenn Murray to the rescue for The Seagulls?
Brighton host
Leicester after the international break on Saturday. The Seagulls would look to
return to winning ways after defeats against Everton and Cardiff in the last
two last premier league matches. Meanwhile, the good news for Brighton fans is
that Glenn Murray has extended his contract with the club for one more year.
The striker has
scored six goals this season so far for Brighton and would have seen his
previous deal expire next year. Murray scored his 100th Brighton goal to secure
a 1-0 win over Wolves in their last home game, making it five goals in five
home games. What increases Brighton's chances here is that Leicester hasn't
been able to score more than four goals in their last five matches. Lewis Dunk
is aiming to score for the third straight game and is always dangerous at
set-pieces. Albion have picked up 10 of their 14 Premier League points at Amex
Stadium, beating Manchester United, West Ham, and Wolves at this venue.
Seagulls would be let down after they had conceded a late goal against Cardiff
City handing Neil Warnock his second win of the season, Murray scoring against
Leicester would mean Brighton move above Wolves and would sit just below
Leicester on Goal Difference that is until Sunday.
